Today was sunny and hit Savoleyres, or Savonlinna in Finnish. Day started badly on Vallon D'Arby, where we followed some trails to the left and I had to climb back from a dead end about 50 m. Cliffs below and further to the left. Worse some even more touristy person followed our trail and I had to look from the following top that he/she made it out.
But then we found the basic ridge in Savonlinna and climbed a bit for some good snow.
Mika Kankainen shot us climbing up.
I strapped a helmet camera to my ski tip.
The strap held but swivel broke when skiing tourist moguls. Footage of a runaway camera was interesting.
Mika Kankainen shot me doing just one turn. Cool and rocky spot.
Mika also shot me jumping a small cliff on the home run to Verbier.
Mika shot me also braking after the cliff, full stop in crappy snow.
Mika on the good snow.
When ski strap broke I tied the camera to my backpack.
Tommi dropping out of Savonlinna.
There's plenty of feverish and coughing folk at the base camp. Over a week now. Please flu, go away from all of us.
